nostalgia

Memories are strange , fleeting things. Some can make you sad, some bring a feeling of joy, while others can make you laugh out loud. It seems the older we get, the more we seem to accumulate, and they just seem to pop up when you're least expecting them. One of my fondest memories comes from the days before television, when we had to make our own entertainment. I can still see my granddad, stood in front of the fireplace, reciting the old time comedy monologues. "The Lion And Albert" and "The Stick With The Horses Head Handle" spring to mind.

And that's how this site was born. I decided to try and recreate those long gone days. So started writing comedy (rhyming) monologues myself.  If you do a bit of writing yourself, and would like to see your work on this site, please email them to me, copyright will of course remain yours. Or if you have a site with a similar "Good Old Days" feel, why not swap links with me?

Thanks for visiting, and hope you will return again soon. Spread the word!  Stan Brown.
